The band of Davao Food Monsters had again been blessed with another gastronomic experience. This time, it is sponsored by the newly opened Pepper and Peppers in Jacinto Extension, Davao City. This is the 5th leg of the Davao Food Trip series which is organized by The Usual Suspects. Present during the event were Kuya Andrew, Ate Ria, Kuya Blogie and me (Winston).

For starters, they served us with Garden Fresh Salad and Chicken Caesar Salad, both costs P75 per serving. The dressing used in the former had a combination of sweet and sour taste mixed well with the salty taste of the cheese bits on top of the fresh and crispy vegetables.
Another dish that I highly recommend is their Spicy Portuguese Pasta (P100). One serving is enough to fill your tummy with this very good dish.
We were able to try the famous Iberian Chicken which is also their specialty. It’s a slowly roasted whole chicken marinated with special herbs and lots of spices, baked in olive oil with locally grown potatoes. According to the owners, the Iberian Chicken is best paired with rice and will surely ruin one’s diet because of its irresistible taste. This dish serves four to six persons and costs P375. It is also recommended that you order in advance*** because this chicken dish requires two hours of cooking time.
For the dessert, they served us with Fudge ala Mode (P90) and Chocolate Cake (P75).
The restaurant is owned by Mike Sy, Karloz Alba, and John Obsines. It is located along Jacinto Extension, in Davao City. It is open Mondays to Saturdays, 11 am – 10 pm.
***For advance orders, you may contact them at 303-5955.
